A New Look, and Farewell to the Aether Story Alpha
Hey everyone. It's been a while, so here's what's been happening around here, and one important note for Aether Story alpha players.
A fresh coat of paint
If the site feels different, it is. phanxgames.com has moved to a new server and had a full redesign. Pages load faster, every page is secure (HTTPS), and it all works properly on your phone now.
- The home page shows the latest posts from this blog.
- Aether Story has its own page, with the leaderboards and character lookup one click away.
- The Support Center is reorganized, and the help articles are rewritten and up to date.
- Your account pages got the same refresh. Your login, email addresses and history are all still there.

The Aether Story alpha is shutting down
Now the harder news. The Aether Story alpha servers will shut down for good on Wednesday, November 25, 2026. That's 30 days from today.
We took Aether Story all the way to a playable alpha, and I'm proud of that. To every tester who logged in, explored Domhan Forest, broke things, reported bugs, joined an event or just hung out in town: thank you. Watching you play taught me more about making games than anything else could have.
And this isn't the end of Aether Story. The alpha is closing, but the world of Aether will live on, reborn from the ashes as something new. We'll talk more about that later.
Until the 25th, you can still log in. Visit your favourite spots, finish that last quest, and say your goodbyes in game. After that date:
- The alpha client will no longer connect.
- Your phanxgames.com account stays, along with your account history.
- The Aether Story leaderboards and character lookup stay up on this site for a little while longer, so you can look back on what you achieved. They will close later too.

Thank you for being part of it.
Henry
