I came here after talking a user in the long dead MMO NEStalgia and they mentioned how this game looked like it had potential, so I decided to check it out. NEStalgia has a similar premise, being an MMO entirely using pixel art, though it plays very similarly to old NE RPGs like Dragon Warrior 3 and Final Fantasy 1.

If I had to pick one aspect of NEStalgia I hope to see this game incorporate, its rare cosmetics dropping from mobs. Personally, I'm the kind of player who's much more likely to spend weeks grinding for, say, a cute dress or hat, than I am to grind for a shiny new sword. I remember when I downloaded Dragon Quest of the Stars, the first thing I did was spend 30 hours in the casino grinding for some cute winter clothing, lol. NEStalgia had armor dyes that could drop from mobs, as well as some rarer character morphs that would give you, say, bunny ears or something. Admittedly, it was a pretty limiting customization system, but it was still pretty exciting when a mob dropped a dye.

I feel like having a rare pair of shoes, or a hat that only exists in limited quantity gives you a lot more prestige in an MMO among the playerbase than landing, say, a 1/50k drop for a rare sword. That's also half the fun of customizing your character in an MMO - seeing what other players wear and being jealous of a particular clothing item, then spending 30+ hours grinding for your own.

As for hobbies that don't have any relation to Aether Story, I love collecting Tamagotchis! I've always had a soft spot for these cute pet raising sims, and it certainly doesn't help that Tamagotchi has some of the best character designs ever. I especially love Pizzarinatchi.
